This is the start of Ibsen's Peer Gynt. I was fortunate enough to get hold of a ticket for the Peer Gynt play at Gålå in Guldbrandsdalen this year, and what a play it is. The magical music composed by Grieg fits perfect in the outdoor theatre. Surrounded by the mountains in Gulbrandsdalen, Gålå lake in the background, The fresh mountain air and the skies as the theatre roof. All the dialogues are in Norwegian but they stick to the original manuscript so if you read up on Peer Gynt you know what they are talking about, and the music, especially when Silvia Moi sings Solveigs song makes it worth both your time and your money. If you have a slight interest in Ibsen , Grieg or Norwegian culture this is a play you can not miss.
